Johnny Depp’s friend Isaac Baruch cries to a standstill during the defamation trial of Amber Heard
Johnny Depp’s multimillion-dollar defamation case against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, continues in Virginia. The court has heard from the actor’s sister Christi Dembrowski, who also partly served as his business manager, and his artist friend and neighbor Isaac Baruch, who gave particularly colorful and emotional testimonies.
Depp claims an article from 2018 written by Heard in Washington Post – where she talked about domestic violence against women – suggested that Depp, her ex-husband, was an addict.
Although the 35-year-old did not name the actor, Depp’s lawyers say Heard’s allegations have made it difficult for the 58-year-old to get roles he previously did.
Depp is known for appearing in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeney Todd and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Heard has appeared in titles including Aquaman and Drive angry.
He is asking for $ 50 million (£ 38.2 million) in compensation during the trial in Fairfax County District Court. Heard, meanwhile, has filed a defamation suit against Depp, from whom she was divorced in 2017, for nuisance.
Depp has previously lost a lawsuit in the UK against the British newspaperThe sun regarding the allegations in Heard’s 2018 article.

They claimed she wanted to portray herself as a heroic survivor of abuse.
The lawyers also noted Mr Depp’s drug and alcohol use, but claimed that a substance abuse problem did not prove that he ever hurt Mrs Heard.

Johnny Depp once called Amber Heard a “k ** t” and referred to her “rotting corpse” in a text message to a friend, a U.S. court heard Wednesday (April 13).
The message was read as part of the defamation case against Depp and Heard in Fairfax, Virginia.
Today’s witnesses included Depp’s longtime friend Isaac Baruch, who was asked by Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft: “Do you remember Mr Depp ever telling you that he hoped Amber Heard’s rotting corpse was being decomposed in the cursed trunk of a Honda Civic? ”
Baruch pointed to a screen on which the message was displayed and said, “Yes. Well, I say yes – I see this, so obviously, yes, it was said. It was written.”

A friend of Johnny Depp testified as a witness on day three of the defamation case against Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Isaac Baruch was called to testify Wednesday (April 13) in Fairfax, Virginia. He took a stand after cross-examination concluded for Mr Depp’s sister Christi Dembrowski.
Sir. Baruch said he first got to know Mr. Depp when they were both teenagers in Florida and played in bands. He testified for a few hours, giving colorful testimonies that at times elicited smiles and laughter from others in the courthouse – including Mr Depp and Mrs Heard themselves.

Depp’s crying friend begs the couple to ‘go heal’
In the defamation case against Amber Heard brought by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, a former neighbor of the couple became emotional during extensive testimony about his friendship with the couple.
Isaac Baruch, who first met Depp as a teenager in Florida and became his longtime friend, lived in one of the five penthouse lofts in the Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles, which are owned by the actor.
