  • Sportsmail experts have revealed who they tip to win more silverware

Heading into Saturday’s semi-final of the FA Cup at Wembley, Liverpool and Manchester City will both try to take a step closer to history as the Reds try to win an unprecedented quadruple, while Pep Guardiola’s team can pick up three trophies between now and at . the end of the season.

City currently have a point over the Merseyside club in the Premier League and the two teams appear to be heading towards each other in next month’s Champions League final.

So Sportsmail’s experts Micah Richards, Peter Crouch, Chris Sutton and Martin Keown predict which teams will add more silverware to their collection in the final weeks of the campaign …

Manchester City and Liverpool could now fight each other in three tournaments

PREMIER LEAGUE

MICAH RICHARDS – MAN CITY

Liverpool have what appear to be the slightly tougher matches and I do not see City losing the grip on a title challenge that remains in their hands.

PETER CROUCH – MAN CITY

They have the more comfortable inlet and Pep Guardiola manages to get City across the line in the league so consistently that you can not look beyond them.

CHRIS SUTTON – LIVERPOOL

It’s so hard to call, and City have the easier run – in, but I have a feeling there will be a twist – and Liverpool’s strength in depth will allow them to tease City.

MARTIN KEOWN – MAN CITY

I tipped City at the start of the season and will not change my mind now. They are a remarkable team working under an exceptional manager and you would not let it pass that they won their last seven matches.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

RICHARDS – MAN CITY

I believe this will be the year for City, although a huge amount depends on the fitness of Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker, who will be a significant miss as long as they are on the sidelines. If they do not return soon, I would tip Liverpool.

REMEMBER – LIVERPOOL

That’s the experience, right? They have been there and done it before under Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are such a devastating cup team.

SUTTON – MAN CITY

Guardiola’s men can not keep falling short in the Champions League. The victory over Atletico Madrid showed a real resilience and could be a sign that this is City’s season.

KEOWN – MAN CITY

City have just come through an epic battle with Atletico. But they want time to breathe and go again in the Champions League and I think it’s their time to win this competition.

FA CUP

RICHARDS – LIVERPOOL

They arrive at Wembley on Saturday without a home defeat in 2022 and will have been hugely boosted by their second-half performance at the Etihad last weekend.

Since City are missing key players, I feel they can get over the line.

REMEMBER – CHELSEA

The eyes of the other two big ones, Liverpool and City, are looking at bigger prizes and I think that will give Chelsea a chance to grab this one.

SUTTON – LIVERPOOL

They will see by City without De Bruyne and Walker and with the benefit of resting key players in the Champions League this week.

Sorry for Chelsea and Crystal Palace, but I think the winner should come from this semi-final.

KEOWN – LIVERPOOL

The timing of Liverpool’s semi-final with City is better for Klopp and his players. They were able to make changes to their clash with Benfica while City lost key men in their bruises with Atletico. So that’s the advantage Liverpool.
