Alice Cooper announces US tour this summer / fall 2022

Alice Cooper has announced a summer / autumn 2022 “Detroit Muscle” US tour.

After completing a successful and uninterrupted fall of 2021, and both winter and spring races of 2022, and after a European tour May 23 to July 6, the legendary rocker will be back on the road in September. There is a mix of headlines and festival appearances on his schedule.

The VIP pre-sale is set for Tuesday 12 April at 10 local time. The public sale will take place on Friday 15 April at 10 local time.

Coopera Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, usually spends up to six months a year on the go and brings its iconic brand of rock psycho-drama to both old and new fans who enjoy it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect behind shock rock, Cooper (in both the original ALICE COOPER band and as a solo artist) has rattled in the cages and undermined the authority of generations of status quo guardians, by continuing to surprise fans and radiate danger at every turn, like a great horror film. Alice Cooper concerts remain a “not-to-be-missed” attraction!

Alices universally acclaimed album from 2021 “Detroit Stories” is available via ear MUSIC. The record, a celebration of the sound and spirit of the Golden Era of Detroit rock, debuted on Billboard sales chart at No. 1 upon release in February 2021.

That Associated Press called “Detroit Stories” “a masterpiece of classical rock, soul and R&B in homage to the city that produced him,” while Weekly entertainment proclaimed the release “a love letter from Cooper to his city, and one that encourages a deep dive into his own back catalog and his peers. ” Variety considered the album as “a delicious tip of the hat for 70s classics such as ‘Killer’ and ‘School is closed’ without sounding like a return. ” Rolling stones excited: “The spirit of rock & roll abandonment still exists in Cooper‘s music half a century later, and his inherent showmanship is why people still fill theaters to see his guillotine act. That’s also why his records are still fun to listen to: You never know where he’s going. “

In January last year, Alice revealed during an appearance in an episode of SiriusXM‘s “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk” that he’s working on two albums right now. “All I can say is that one is written – completely written – and we’ll be making bed tracks for it pretty soon,” he said. “And then the second is just a touch in the future, but it’s also being written right now. It’s two completely different kinds of albums, but they are Alice Cooper rene rock and roll albums. The two albums are going to be really hard rock albums. “

Also in January Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss told Detroit’s WRIF radio station, like her and her Cooper bandmates “recorded some music” for his upcoming album. “The band also had a big role in the writing this time, which is the first time this has happened in the eight years I’ve been in the band,” she said. “So it was really, really fun – really exciting for us to get started with a legend like Bob Ezrin. [It was] a huge, huge honor to be in the studio with him and Alice create what we hope will be something more Alice Cooper music just to add to his legacy. “

She added: “I’m on [Alice Cooper] live DVD. I’m on the live album releases, the live tracks, there are bonus tracks and stuff like that, but [this is my] first studio album with Alice. I’m actually the only person in [current lineup of Alice‘s] band that has not recorded anything with Alice before, so that’s big for me. [I’m] very, very honored. “

Published in February 2021, “Detroit Stories” was recorded with Ezrinmostly in Royal Oak with Detroit musicians and featuring a mix of original material along with covers of songs by Bob Segerthat MC5, Mitch Ryder‘s DETROIT and CUT CHERRY.

In 2018, Cooper issued “A paranormal night at Olympia Paris”, a recording of his concert on December 7, 2017 at the world-famous Olympia venue in France. The effort caught Cooper and his current bandmates perform a selection of classics Cooper hits, in addition to some highlights from the 2017s “Paranormal” album. Alice said later that he wanted to release a document of his band’s performance on stage because they “deserved a live album.”
